Living in a failsafe world

We want to be number one, always. (Taken with the LC-A+ using Fuji Velvia RVP 100F film.)
Staring at me, on Straits Times' Home headlines today, was this: No tuition? No way, says some Singaporeans. Students with good grades say they need tuition; students with bad grades say they need tuition.

I hate to be pressured into hiring a tutor just to play catch up with what the education system here defines as good. Call this an underachieving mum's perspective, but is it so terrible to fail?

"...let yourself fail.... Accidents are the key to success. One has to learn to let go and fail. We live too much in a failsafe world."
