HFMD: Day 2 draws to a close

I thought I could cheer Kit up by bringing him downstairs for a walk early in the morning, after the office crowd hustles out of the estate and before the heat from the late morning sun beats down our back.

But no. He was disconsolate. Poor chap. And he was grouchy, teary, and irritable most of the day. I've never seen my sunny boy so down.

He woke up almost every hourly yesterday crying and thrashing around in bed and had to be comforted. Day two of HFMD has ended but day three has already started for me because guess who is on night duty? *raise hand*
