Kai and Ian at the Thomas & Friend Live on Stage show recently.
Kai is fanatical about Toad the brake van (from Thomas & Friend) now. I don't know why. Toad is not a main character and he's named after an amphibian. But these days, Kai insists on watching the episode of Thomas & Friends with Toad in it. Every time I play it, he'd insist on watching the same episode again and again and again and again and again... It's very tiring for the accompanying adult.

Here's why Toad the brake van is called Toad: According to the Wikipedia entry, his name comes from the fact that, on the Great Western Railway, brake vans were known by the telegraph code "Toad".
