Kiss!

When he reads, he likes to bend down and kiss characters (especially animals) in the book. But in this case, it was a picture of a biscuit he's kissing.

Reading is fun

Between his toys and his books, he'd almost always choose his books. He used to sit through all the stories I read to him. But these days, he likes to "fast forward" when I read to him. He can also just flip through books after books on his own.

Here's Terence reading him a Thomas the Tank Engine book (thanks to Florence) on Kai's birthday.

His poor index finger

Poor Kai left his right hand in the gap of opened cupboard door, and with his left hand pushed the door shut. So you can imagine what ensued. It was very red yesterday, but it's only down to a band of red today. Terence doesn't think it is a fracture. Mother-in-law felt terrible about it.

Some of my poisons

Junkfood Ts
Alannah Hill outfits
Lulu bags
Japanese food
Wagyu steak
Vintage watches

Really, really meant to work tonight. But Terence asked me check out the watch shop which his brother Gary has been raving about. So between work and watches? A girl needs to prioritise.

I've heard a bit about Passions even before this, but never had the chance to visit the shop. He asked me to check out an Omega watch on sale. OK, looked at it. Bleh. Not my type. Rolex? Nah, nothing I really like... Chopard? Hmm... ok.

Then I spied the Hamiltons:
A. Hamilton PlatinumCirca 1950s with 54pcs diamonds
B. Hamilton 10K White Gold with 8 Diamonds

Here's my checklist for "the" watch I'd love to own:
1. Does it have diamonds? (Yes)
2. Is it a vintage watch? (Yes)
3. Art deco design preferred. (Yes)

Obviously Item A is the preferred item. But pocket book for this month is pointing to Item B.

Playdate at Ailei's place

Kai went on his first playdate, organised by Joy at Ailei's place. It was nice to see Ailei again though most of the time we were trying to mind our own little one/s. Joy brought her two nephews, one of whom would make an interesting "Super Nanny" case study. :p

There were plenty of toy cars around but Kai seemed to like the toy piano most. He was a little shy initially but he was able to play alongside the rest of the kids after a while.

The three of us will remember this playdate for sure. Gabriel (Ailei's first kid) fell while playing with Joy's nephew and had a hairline crack on his ankle. Kai subsequently turned weird for a few days, rejecting his milk. Thankfully Gabriel is on the road to recovery.

By the light of the silvery moon

Adrian smsed to say the moon was very bright, so dropped everything I was doing to test out the new camera. I was too lazy to use the tripod. Just played around with the exposure, and my best photo is the one at the bottom.
Terence came back, and asked how come I didn't use the tripod. Hetook the one on top (best photo). We'll now have a complete picture of how the moon looked tonight: Mine showed how the clouds were lit up by the moon, and his displayed the intensity of the moonlight.
