Lo-hei? No thanks, I think.

I noticed that Kai has been getting increasingly curious about the food we eat. When I drink from my cup, he'll want a sip too. And when he sees us munching chocolates, he'll climb over our feet, push himself up with our knees and attempt to grab at the yummy-yum-yum.

But I don't think he's terribly impressed with lo hei. He probably can't understand why everyone looks so happy throwing pieces of vegetables around.

Can't you see, I'm daddy's boy

Most common phrase heard throughout CNY: He's a photocopy of Terence!

Kai's first reunion dinner: A tearful affair

Stranger anxiety coupled with him staying well up beyond his bedtime of 7pm resulted in a tearful Kai during his first reunion dinner (10 Feb 2007).

Venue: My uncle Tony's place
Time: 7.30pm (but dinner probably only started at 8.15/8.30pm)
Another cause for celebration: It was Adam's (Kai's cousin) three-year-old birthday, and he had such a lovely Bob-the-builder cake.

He was stuck to me throughout the whole evening, crying everytime he had to leave me. (I was terribly pleased. :p ) But everyone wanted to carry him, including my young cousin Cheryl (bottom right), which led to a lot of screaming, sobbing and tears.

Kai's godmother

I really shouldn't be posting this now. With super-duper Joy away, I'm swamped. But this is really long overdue.

Finally asked Eva (the super-sub) to be Kai's godmother and she said yes! We had fun trying to figure out the godmother role. Or rather I had fun dreaming up stuff she should do and she was her usual sweet self and laughed at everything I said. But I bet she was hoping I wasn't serious.

I just realised Eva and I never took a picture together...
